TURKISH FEED MANUFACTURERS’ ASSOCIATION

 

Our association established under the name of “feed manufacturers’ association” in 1974 by 7 feed manufacturers following the entry into force of Turkish Feed Law. After the special initiatives the association gained the “Turkish” word front its name by the Turkish cabinet decision which published at the official journal on 13.03.1998. Our association constituted from 15 members of management board, 3 members of inspection board and 3 members of disciplinary board. Our association which located in Ankara bi yearly arranges general assembly with the participation of its members for election of the board. The administrative unit employs 1 general secretary, 2 specialist (Agricultural engineer), 1 secretary and 1 janitor. The association which is a unique NGO of feed manufacturers in Turkey, executes lobbing and special activities and also it is accepted as a solitary representative of Turkish feed manufacturers by government, ministry and related general directorates. The association forwards the matters and the developments of the sector to the related units by representing the feed Industrials at various commissions to find solutions. Our association has 209 member feed plants. These members produce %85 of total compound feed production of Turkey. Also, the association is a member of “International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF)” and observer member of “European Feed Manufacturers’ Federation (FEFAC)”. The association publishes a sectoral magazine in every 3 months which is the solitary magazine about feed in Turkey. Also, the latest developments about the sector and the activities of the association publishes on its web site www.turkiyeyembir.org.tr as updated. Our association organizes “Tuyem” which is the International Feed Congress & Exhibition in every 2 year.
